MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption in a wait mode and to prolong the life of a battery by intermittently receiving an incoming information on its own station in the wait mode, performing the outgoing and incoming with the information on an existing base station, and otherwise inhibiting the decision of an existing zone. CONSTITUTION:Plural radio base stations transmit the signals of calling control channels to a mobile station. The control part 7 of the mobile station selects a radio base station for communication. Then the part 7 (ROM 73) intermittently receives the incoming information corresponding to the incoming group of its own station in a wait mode. Furthermore the part 7 compares the reception levels of time slots of all radio base stations with each other by an incoming request given to the mobile station in an incoming state and by an outgoing request of the mobile station user respectively for decision of an existing radio zone. Thus the outgoing/incoming operations are carried out based on the information on the existing radio base station. Otherwise the decision of the existing radio zone is inhibited.
