LONG-DISTANCE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

PURPOSE: To enable the transmission of all traffic and to suppress excessive complexity with world-wide transmission to a minimum in comparison with a local transmission system. CONSTITUTION: A long distance communication network is composed of the spatial arrangement of plural orbit satellites 4 having two inter-satellite mutual links for each satellite while being arranged on plural low-height orbits 20 having inclination to a polar line, the network of ground communication stations 11 for managing and controlling the local traffic, and ground exchange centers 10 more than one for constructing mutual connection between satellites not on the same orbit while being positioned at the high latitude. This network can be applied to a telephone network composed of mobile terminals and/or fixed terminals.
