Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive fuel reforming system suitable for the use in a phosphoric acid type fuel cell system. CONSTITUTION:In a reformer 1, a temperature sensor 18 and an air valve 4 provided in the reformed gas outlet end part of a reforming catalyst 9 are interlocked by a controller 6 to regulate the flow rate of the combusting air 17 of a combustion part 7, and the reformed gas outlet end part temperature of the reforming catalyst 9 is kept at a low temperature such that carbon monoxide concentration is lower than 1% (volume percentage). Thus, the carbon monoxide transformer of a fuel reforming system used for phosphoric acid type fuel cell system can be eliminated.
