Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a reaction pipe by inserting a heat exchange in the burner flame of a reformer, and circulating a cooling solution into the heat exchanger to lower the combustion gas temperature. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 10 is provided in the flame 4 from the burner 3 of a fuel reformer 1. When a cooling water is circulated as shown by arrows (c), (d) at operation, the cooling water has good heat conduction property, compared with combustion gas even when the heat exchanger 10 is present in the flame 4, and heat exchange is efficiently performed before the combustion gas is diffused. Thus, the combustion gas temperature is lowered, and the breakage of a reaction pipe can be prevented.
