SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve dye desensitization due to a sensitizing dye so as to enhance sensitivity, and to reduce residual dye stains due to the sensitizing dye by incorporating a specified sensitizing dye and a specified sugar. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains at least one of the aldose type tetroses, pentoses, and hexoses and at least one of the sensitizing dyes represented by formula I and/or II in which each of Z1-Z3 is an atomic group necessary to form a an N-containing 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; each of Q1 and Q2 is an atomic group necessary to form an N- containing 5- or 6-membered ketomethylene ring; each of R1 and R5-R7 is alkyl or alkenyl; R2 is the same as R1 or a monocyclic aryl; R3 is H or alkyl; R4 is H, phenyl, or alkyl; each of R8-R11 is H, lower alkyl, phenyl, or aralkyl: X- is is an acid anion; each of m, k, and q is 0 or 1; and each of n, l, and p is 0, 1, 2, or 3.
