Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as a class III antiarrhythmic agent effective for arrhythmia caused by heart diseases such as myocardial infarction and cardiac insufficiency. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I (X is NO2, CN, NHSO2Me or imidazole; R and R' are H, 1-5C alkyl or together form piperazine ring; Z is CH2, S or O; Y is NO2, NH2, NHSO2Me or 1-3C acylamide; (n) is 2-4; (m) is 1-3), e.g. N-cyano-N'-[3-[N-ethyl-N-ethyl-N-[2-(4'-nitrophenyl) ethyl]amino]propyl]-4-nitrophenylcarboxamidine. This compound of formula I can be synthesized from a compound of formula II via a compound of formula III, etc.
