THREE-DIMENSIONAL CONTROL MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE:To set a machine tool low, increase its rigidity, and simplify a protective cover to cut chips. CONSTITUTION:A three-dimensional control machine tool is provided with a column 3 capable of advancing/retracting on a bed to a work (in a Z-axial direction), and having X-axis guide surfaces 6, 12a in a front side surface to face the work, a first movable body 12 installed on the front side surface of the column to be guided by the X-axis guide surfaces to slide, a plate of a second movable body 13 installed on a front surface of the first movable body to be guided by Y-axis guide surfaces 14, 15 formed in the first movable body to slide, and a spindle head 16 installed on the second movable body and having a main spindle in the X-axial direction. In addition, it is provided with a first fixed protective cover 30 installed on the column and covering the first movable body, second movable body, and spindle head, and a second fixed protective cover 31 installed on the work side for the first fixed protective cover to be engaged with/ detached from when it advances/retracts.
