PURPOSE:To place a restriction on a seater on the seat under discussion in selecting an exit so as to enhance the safety by configurating a device in such a way that the reclining operation for one out of a right side and a left side seat, both of which are arranged in parallel, can be effected taking procedence over the other one. CONSTITUTION:When each of seat backs 8a and 8b for each of a right and a left rear seat 2a and 2b, is in an upright position, each of tension plates 42a and 42b which are inclined forward, causes each of wires 43a and 43b to be pushed forward. Accordingly, a lock plate 35a of the left side rear seat 2a is inclined forward while being locked, and simultaneously a lock plate 35b of the right rear seat 2b is in the upright position while being set in an unlock position. In short, as far as the right rear seat 2b is in the upright position, it is made to be impossible for the reclining operation to be effected on the left rear seat taking procedence over the right rear seat 2b. With this, a restriction can be placed on a seater not to get off from the right side of a vehicle, that is, an exit to a roadway.
