Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a deodorizing apparatus utilizing organisms wherein the structure is simple and there exists little influence of short-pass in peat. CONSTITUTION:Peat layers 2 wherein organisms for deodorizing are immobilized and foamed plastic layers 9 are alternately laminated on a porous supporting plate 3 fixed on the bottom of a cylindrical deodorizing tank 1 in the direction crossing to the flow of an odorous gas to be treated. A water spraying device 4 is faced on the top of the alternately laminated layers 2 and 9. The foamed plastic layer 9 may be made of a packed layer consisting of ground pieces 9a of foamed polystyrol.
