MANUFACTURE OF BASE BLOCK FOR USE IN ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY

PURPOSE:To provide a highly accurate base block for an electromagnetic relay at good productivity by separately forming a hoop material provided with an electromagnet block and another hoop material provided with a common terminal and a fixed contact, etc., and then integrally molding them. CONSTITUTION:A hoop material 21 is punched to extend coil terminals 24a, 24b from the long-size portions 22 of both sides thereof. An iron core and a permanet magnet are integrally molded using a spool, together with the coil terminals 24a, 24b. A coil is wound around the shell of the spool to form an electromagnet block 29. Another hoop material 31 is punched to extend a common terminal 34 and a fixed contact terminal 35 from the long-size portions 32 of both sides thereof. The hoop material 21 having the electromagnet block 29 obtained through the coil winding process and the hoop material 31 having the common terminal 34 and the fixed contact terminal 35 are positioned and integrally molded to provide a base block 36 for use in an electromagnetic relay.
