Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the subject treating material, excellent in labor saving and operating efficiency and useful for cattle, etc., at a low cost by mixing woody powder, etc., with a highly water absorbing resin, compression molding the resultant mixture, pulverizing the formed molded body into particles, etc., and mixing the prepared powder with the woody powder, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective treating material is obtained by mixing (A) woody powder such as sawdust and/or organic fiber such as cotton with (B) a highly water absorbing resin such as a polyacrylate [at preferably (97/3) to (80/20) blending ratio of the components (A)/(B)], compression molding the resultant mixture, pulverizing the formed molded body into particles or powder and then mixing the resultant particles or powder with the component (A).
