Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To prevent the capacity of a frame memory from being increased at the time of encoding a compressed video signal by storing the current frame part, where data of the just preceding frame is compensated, in a buffer memory and writing it in the frame memory also together with the just preceding frame area which does not require compensation. CONSTITUTION: The current frame part where data of the just preceding frame is compensated in accordance with movement of a moving picture is temporarily stored in a buffer memory 62. Data read out from the memory 62 is written in a frame memory 58, which is accessed by an address passing a slice counter, a line counter, a block counter, and picture element counters 40 to 46, together with the just preceding frame area which doesn't require compensation. By this constitution where the preceding frame and the current frame subjected to movement compensation are shared, the capacity of the frame memory which receives and encodes the compressed video signal is prevented from being increased. |
