DYNAMIC CHANGE SYSTEM FOR LOGICAL DATA STRUCTURE OF DATA BASE

PURPOSE:To shorten the time when the jobs are discontinued for change of the logical data structure of a data base by extending or reducing in variable length the set information area of a stored or deleted master record and adding or deleting the set information. CONSTITUTION:When a new record type is added (extended) by the change of the logical data structure, a record storage processing part 3 is not driven even if the defined data is changed by a definition changing part 2 for the logical data structure. Then the part 3 operates only when a request is actually produced for storage of the record of the type added by the change of the logical data structure. When this request is produced, the relevant record is stored in a data base storage 6 by a record storing means 3 of the part 3. At the same time, a connecting object set information identifying means 3b identifies the set information on the connection subject (specific master record) based on the contents stored in the storage 6.
