Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE: To provide non-woven fabric having excellent tensile strength which comprises the steps of melt-extruding a composition of a thermoplastic polyolefin to which alkyl-substituted polysiloxane and hydrophobic fumed silica are added, forming a web and thermally pattern-bonding the webs. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic polyolefin is constituted of 60-40 wt.% polypropylene having a melt flow rate of 30-45 and 40-60 wt.% polypropylene having the melt flow rate of 2-10. A composition is prepared by adding improved additives to the thermoplastic polyolefin. The improved additives comprises a first component and a second component. The first component is 0.1-0.5 wt.% alkyl-substituted polysiloxane denoted by the formula below based on the amount of the polyolefin and the second component is 0.01-0.3 wt.% hydrophobic fumed silica composed of particles having the longest dimension in the range of 0.001-1 μm diameter based on the same and the weight ratio of the first component to the second component is in the range of 10-70, preferably 10-30. After melt-extruding the composition, a web is formed on a moving foraminous surface or a card web is formed by stapling and finally pattern-bonded under thermal pressure to form a non-woven fabric. |
