ROLL FOR HOT FINISHING MILL

PURPOSE:To provide a roll for hot finishing mill with which a flat cross-sectional shape is attained by suppressing body crown and also the total crown of a rolled sheet is decreased by reducing edge drop in end parts in the width direction. CONSTITUTION:By forming symmetrical one-side taper parts 2 in end parts opposite to each other in the direction of axial line of a pair of work rolls 1 and making the middle parts 3 in the direction of axial line of at least either one or both work rolls into an incurvate shape taking the thermal crown of each roll into consideration, finish rolling is executed at short rolling intervals in a finishing mill having finite pairs used of work rolls. Even in such a case, by situating respective one-side taper parts of both work rolls in the end parts in the width direction while suppressing body crown due to thermal crown with temp. rising, edge drop is decreased and the rolled metallic sheet of rectangular cross section is obtained.
