Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide a noble method for detecting segragated part of phosphorus, in place of sulfur, in a metallic material, e.g. Ca-added steel or low sulfur steel, as a discolored point on a test paper in which segragation of phosphorus can be detected quickly and as conveniently as sulfur print over a wide area and can be recorded and preserved. CONSTITUTION:A test sheet is applied directly, or after corrosion, to the surface of a metallic material to be inspected, and a solution of 0.1-80wt.% of AgNO3 and alcohol is made to coexist at least between the surface to be inspected and the test sheet. Upon the elapse of some time, the test sheet is peeled off and fixed.
