COSMETIC

PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic capable of releasing active component by the variation of pH and having high safety. CONSTITUTION:This cosmetic 'contains a microcapsule having pHsensitive solubility (pH-sensitive MC) including an active component. The cosmetic has three types consisting of (A) a cosmetic to be applied or dropped to the skin to cause the dissolution of the pH-sensitive MC by the surface moisture of the skin and the pH of the skin and release the included component, (B) a cosmetic to be used by mixing two components in use, to cause the dissolution of the pH-sensitive MC by the pH variation caused by mixing and release the included content and (C) a cosmetic to be used together with water to cause the dissolution of the pH-sensitive MC by the pH variation caused by dilution with water and release the included content. The pH range to cause the dissolution of the pH-sensitive MC is preferably 4-9. The resin to be used as a material for the MC is hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose acetate succinate and cellulose acetate phthalate which are resins soluble in neutral and alkaline state and polyvinyl acetal diethylaminoacetate which is a resin soluble in acidic state.
