Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To yield a product with high surface preciseness without generating axial dislocation by furnishing a finish grinding device to grind a spherical surface, ground by a recessed cylindrical surface of a disc-form grinding tool, further with a hollow cylindrical grinding tool having a grain size smaller than the disc-form grinder. CONSTITUTION:A spherical surface grinding device comprises a disc-form grinding tool on grinding wheel 7, a wheel spindle stack 1 to support rotatably round the axis passing perpendicularly the center point on the circular plane of the grinding wheel 7, a table 2 adjacent to the wheel spindle stock 1 and arranged parallel with the rotational axis of the grinding wheel 7, a moving means to reciprocate the table 2 parallel with the rotary shaft of the grinding wheel 7, and a headstock 3 installed at one end of the table 2, wherein the main spindle 4 on the headstock 3 extends parallel with the rotary shaft of the grinding wheel 7, and a work to be ground 6 is secured to a flange 5 at the foremost part of the main spindle 4, which is then rotated with the flange 5 by a rotating means. Besides, a finish grinding device 9 is equipped with a hollow sylindrical grinding tool 8 having a smaller grain size than the grinding wheel 7 and further grinds the spherical surface 17 of the work 6 having undergone grinding with the recessed circumferential surface of the grinding wheel 7.
