METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GENERATING CIRCUIT DATA FOR SIMULATION

PURPOSE:To obtain the accurate generating method of the circuit data for simulation and the data generating apparatus for performing the collation and the inspection of the operation when the circuit operation after layout is simulat ed and the actual circuit operation in the design of an LSI. CONSTITUTION:In the generating method of circuit data for simulation for collation and inspection for the actual operation of a circuit, parasitic capacitance is picked up from layout data and added to the data for a simulation circuit. This apparatus is constituted of a means, which inputs the circuit data for simulation and the circuit data constituted of a plurality of partial circuits extracted from the layout data, a means for recognizing a capacitor element among layout circuit data, a means 2, which assigns the data into the partial circuit data of simulation and adds the data with node names at both ends of the capacitor element as the keys, and a means 3, which makes the name of the capacitor intrinsic when the element having the same name is present in the circuit.
