INDEPENDENT-PARTICLULAR TRIS (3,5-DI-T-BUTYL-4-HYDROXYBENZYL)ISOCYANURATE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To produce independent-particular crystals characteristically exhibiting a uniform distribution of particle size and excellent in powder properties lacking in a crystalline fine powder by a ready method. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing independent-particlular crystals is characterized by crystallizing commeraially available tris(3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxybenzyl) isocyanurate or a crude reactional product among 2,6-di-t- bytylphenol, isocyanuric acid and paraformaldehyde in the presence of toluene or benzene using acetonitrile as the solvent. The work efficiency and the work environment can be improved by using this compound.
