Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a method and apparatus for fatigue test which can easily apply a composite load to an object to be tested. CONSTITUTION:When a rocking device 15 of a reciprocating swinging mechanism 10 is actuated, a vertical slider 12 is vertically reciprocated in a set displacement range by a set number of times, so that external force in a bend direction is repetitively applied to a golf shaft A. When a swinging device 22 of a swinging mechanism 20 is actuated, a holding jig 21 is rotated alternately in forward and reverse directions in a set displacement range a set number of times, so that external force in a torsion direction is repetitively applied to the golf shaft A. Therefore, by operating these swinging mechanisms 10, 20 synchronously with each other, a load wherein external force in the bend direction and external force in the torsion direction are composited is repetitively applied to the golf shaft A.
