DRIVE CIRCUIT OF FUEL GAGE

PURPOSE:To prevent the rapid swing of an indicating pointer of a cross-coil indicating meter at the initial stage of the change of the liquid level and to prevent the erroneous lighting of a warning lamp when the electricity is supplied to a driving circuit of a fuel gage equipped with a driving circuit part of the warning lamp for turning on the warning lamp based on the terminal voltage of a capacitor provided at the driving circuit part of the indicating meter. CONSTITUTION:Comparator circuits 12, 13 compare an output voltage Vs of a liquid level sensor 16 with a terminal voltage Vc of a capacitor 3. A constant current charging/discharging circuit 5 charges/discharges the capacitor 3 with a constant current in accordance with the outputs of the comparator circuits 12, 13. A driving current based on the terminal voltage Vc is supplied to a cross coil 4 of a cross-coil indicating meter. A switching means 22 is continuously shut for a predetermined time To after the electricity is supplied thereto by an output signal of a power feed timer circuit 15, thereby to hold a switching transistor 20 forcibly in the shut state. Accordingly, the warning lamp 17 is refrained from being turned ON.
