FILTRATION EQUIPMENT FILTER

PURPOSE:To provide a filter capable of easily washing a filter medium and treating a large quantity of liquid by utilizing a water treating material constituted of a fiber. CONSTITUTION:Many pieces of organic fiber having 30-200mm fiber length and crimps are oriented. A rodlike fiber-bundled body is obtained by forming many point-bonding dots between fibers. A filter medium 2 is produced by cutting the rodlike fiber-bundled body into 3-50mm length. The filter medium 2 is so packed in a layer shape in a filter tank 1 that the filter medium layer is brought into contact with a supporting body in the filter tank 1. An expansion part 5 of the filter medium 2 is provided where the filter medium 2 is freely floated and expanded in the time of washing the filter medium 2. Further a filter is provided with a feed pipe 6 for supplying liquid to be filtrated to the filter tank 1, a drawout pipe 7 of clean liquid and a feed pipe 10 of liquid for washing the filter medium which are arranged at the opposite side of the feed pipe 6 while sandwiching the filter medium layer between these pipes.
