PURPOSE:To enable an elevator to be automatically driven up or down without operating any hall button by arranging a pair of right and left detecting switches on the ceiling of an elevator hall and stopping a forklift, etc., in any position of right or left sides corresponding to respective detecting switches. CONSTITUTION:Two detecting switches 3 are symmetrically arranged on the right side and the left side in the center area of a hall ceiling 2 in an elevator. On the other hand, an elevator hall calling registration button 6 is arranged on the right wall side of an elevator entrance 1. And respective elevator hall calling registration lights 7 for the upside and the underside are connected to operation signals of respective right side and left side detecting switches 3 in parallel. Accordingly, when a loaded forklift arrives at the elevator hall 10, this arrival is detected by the detecting switches 3. At this time, when the destination of the forklift is, for example, the lower stage, a driver stops the forklift in the position corresponding to the left side detecting switch 3. Thus, the elevator hall calling to the under side is automatically registered, so that it is not necessary for the driver to get on and off the forklift.
