TELEPHONE SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To obviously identify a calling subscriber. CONSTITUTION:A telephone system is connected to a circuit 1 through which a calling telephone number is transmitted and is provided with an image storage means 5 which stores image information on the portrait of a calling subscriber in response to the calling telephone number, a calling telephone number detector means 3 which detects the calling telephone number sent through the circuit 1, an image retrieving means 7 which retrieves the corresponding image information out of the means 5 based on the calling telephone number detected by the means 3, a display means 12 which shows the image information, and a display control means 11 which controls the display of the means 12 based on the image information retrieved by the means 7.
