Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To always hold a suction port in oil and to perform the reliable feed of oil by opening a suction port, through which oil is fed to the slide part of a compression mechanism part, to a delivery chamber and disposing a feed oil passage, through which the delivery chamber is communicated with an electric motor chamber, in a position above the suction port. CONSTITUTION:A horizontal scroll compressor is formed such that a scroll compression mechanism 2 is horizontally disposed in a closed container 1, and comprises a compression mechanism 3 and an electric motor part 4. Further, the compression mechanism part 3 comprises a revolving scroll 5 and a fixed scroll 6. Moreover, the interior of the closed container 1 is divided into a delivery chamber 1c and an electric motor chamber 1d. A suction port 6f for feed oil to the slide part of the compression mechanism part 3 is opened to the delivery chamber 1c and a feed oil passage through which the delivery chamber 1c is communicated with the electric motor chamber 1d is disposed in a position above the suction port 6f. This constitution holds the suction port 6f in oil and performs the reliable feed of oil.
