Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound, excellent in peroral absorbability, good in solubility in water and useful as a carcinostatic pharmacodynamic effect enhancer in cancer chemotherapy. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I [A is formula II or III (R1 to R3 are H or phenyl)], e.g. 5-{3-[4-(2,2-diphenylacetyl)piperazin-1-yl]-2- hydroxypropoxy}quinoline fumarate, is obtained by respectively independently dissolving a free quinoline derivative and free fumaric acid in a solvent (e.g. methanol), mixing the resultant solutions or mixing the free quinoline derivative with the free fumaric acid without the solvent and then separating the produced salt. The reaction is carried out at 30-100 deg.C by using the raw materials at a mixing ratio of 0.5-10 times.
