Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To provide an image adjusting device for a cathode-ray tube whereby magnetic field distribution created by a deflection yoke is properly corrected in a short time, without depending on the proficiency of skilled workers, to provide fine and high-grade images. CONSTITUTION:A standard yoke 23 defined as a standard is mounted on a color cathode-ray tube 11 to be adjusted, to cause emission of a predetermined adjustment pattern. The adjustment pattern detected by an optical sensor 27 is compared with a preset normal pattern, and the mounting position of a correcting magnetic member 17 is determined from the difference between them. Since the correcting magnetic member 17 is mounted on the color cathode- ray tube 11 according to the determined mounting position after removal of the standard yoke 23, magnetic field distribution can be corrected properly in a short time without depending on the proficiency of skilled workers and fine, high-grade images are obtained.
