Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To prevent a partial discharge phenomenon from occurring near the end of dag and to provide high withstand voltage by heating a funnel neck portion prior to application of dag material. CONSTITUTION:Each funnel neck tube is initially washed with e.g. a 5% fluorine acidic solution and dried. A neck portion 12 is heated from its outer surface using an industrial drier so that the temperature of the neck glass of each funnel neck tube becomes 50 deg.C or so. Thereafter, dag 11 made from carbon particles, water glass and pure water is applied to a predetermined portion of the inside wall surface of each funnel neck tube using sponge. The funnel neck tubes are held with their neck side up and dried to form dag 11 on each funnel neck tube. Then a partial discharge phenomenon hardly occurs near the end of the dag and high withstand voltage is provided.
