TERMINAL METAL FIXTURE FOR FLEXIBLE FLUID TRANSPORT PIPE

PURPOSE:To form the external diameter of a terminal metal fixture in a small size so as to reduce its weight by providing a structure of mounting the terminal metal fixture placed in a condition that the end part of an axial line direction reinforcing unit of a flexible fluid transport pipe is sandwiched between internal and external surface tapered cylindrical units. CONSTITUTION:This terminal metal fixture 11, mounted to an end part of a flexible fluid transport pipe 1 of provided with a peripheral directional reinforcing unit 5, axial line directional reinforcing unit 7 and a protecting sheath 9 in the periphery of a plastic internal pipe 3, has a connecting metal, fixture 13 mounted to an end part of the plastic internal pipe 3. The fixture 11 has an internal surface tapered cylindrical unit 31 arranged in the end part periphery of the reinforcing unit 7 and an external surface tapered cylindrical unit 33 arranged in a pipe end side from the internal surface tapered cylindrical unit, and an end part of the reinforcing unit 7 of welding the point end part to the external surface tapered cylindrical unit 33 is interposed between both the tapered cylindrical units 31, 33. The internal surface tapered cylindrical unit 31 is brought into contact with an inner facing flange part 21a of a casing 21 screwed to the connecting metal fixture 13, and a part between the flange part 21a and the transport pipe 1 is sealed by an external tightening metal fixture 27 through a seal 25.
