Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a particle accelerator having the capability of lowering the influence of beam instability due to higher mode, and easily applying sufficient acceleration to the beam for reaching necessary energy. CONSTITUTION:This accelerator is equipped with two or more types of high-frequency acceleration cavities 6a and 6b having the same acceleration frequency, but a different mode of shunt impedance and other higher mode of coupling impedance. In this case, an accelerating cavity with raised shunt impedance in acceleration mode, for example, a reentrant type high-frequency accelerating cavity 6a should preferably be used, together with a cavity having restrained higher mode coupling impedance, for example, a low impedance cavity 6b.
