Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin having excellent antibacterial mildew- proofing property and long-term durability and suitable for sinter-molding material, etc., by adding a prescribed amount of an antibacterial mildew-proofing agent to a specific resin particle and subjecting the mixture to suspension polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A phenolic compound such as phenol and an aldehyde such as formaldehyde are subjected to suspension polymerization in an aqueous medium in the presence of a water-insoluble inorganic salt such as calcium fluoride, an emulsion stabilizer such as gum arabic and a basic catalyst such as ammonia water to form dispersible small spherical particles of phenolic resin. In the initial stage of the granulation, an antibacterial mildew-proofing agent is added to the aqueous medium in an amount of 0.1-5wt.% (based on the phenolic compound) and a compounding suspension polymerization of the compound dispersion system of phenolic resin and antibacterial mildew-proofing agent is carried out to obtain the objective resin.
