DISPLAY DEVICE FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To provide the display device for traffic signal system which allows drivers and pedestrians to easily confirm a red signal and traffic information and has an advertisement function by traffic mottos and advertisement. CONSTITUTION:A TS panel 20 is placed to be seen at the same time as a traffic signal system 10. The traffic information, mottos, and advertisement and/or the background of the information to be displayed on the TS panel 20 are turned on and off in synchronism with turning on and off a red lamp of the traffic signal system 10. In short, the turning on and off of the red lamp of the traffic signal system 10 is detected by a synchronizing detecting device 21 without changing the electric circuit of the traffic signal system 10. Basing on the detection output of the synchronizing detecting device 21, a light emitting panel 27 is lit in synchronism with the red lamp. Thus, the confirmation of the red signal can be done not only by the signal light but also by the display color of the light emitting panel 27. Various information displayed on the light emitting panel 27 can be confirmed at the same time.
