SCROLL TYPE COMPRESSOR

PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability and the use life by cooling a turnable scroll, a stationary scroll and the like so as to make the temperatures of them uniform. CONSTITUTION:One pressure chamber 11 formed on the turnable scroll 4 side and cooled by one cooling passage 14, and the other pressure chamber 12 formed on the stationary scroll 6 side and cooled by the other cooling passage 1 are communicated with each other by a communication passage 13, and of compression chambers 7, an intermediate pressure compressing chamber is communicated with the other pressure chamber 12 through communication holes 16. With this arrangement, when the turnable scroll 4 is turned, the volume of the intermediate compressing chamber increases and decreases in accordance with a turn angle so as to effect pressure variation therein. The pressure variation causes compressed air having a high temperature in the intermediate pressure compression chamber and compressed air at a low temperature in the pressure chambers 11, 12 are mixed together through the communication passage 16 so as to enable heat-exchange.
