MULTI-HEAD TYPE APPARATUS FOR SEWING

PURPOSE:To obtain an apparatus for sewing capable of performing the stitch back or feeding fabric to be processed without impairing the outward appear ance of an embroidery pattern even in the case of thread breakage in a multi- head type embroidery sewing machine. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of a needle thread take-up driving shaft is transmitted to a driving lever with a transmitting mechanism and the needle thread take-up is vertically rocked and driven by the driving force of the driving lever. When the thread breakage of a needle thread in any sewing machine is sensed with a thread breakage sensor (S21; Yes), a driving force transmitting system in the transmitting mechanism is divided into sections by driving (S25) of a needle thread take-up clutch solenoid and the needle thread take-up rocking in the top dead center is moved through the driving lever to the bottom dead center by a tension spring and held therein. Thereby, the needle thread once pulled up by the needle thread take-up is greatly slacked near an eyehole of a sewing needle. Even if the fabric to be processed is subjected stitch back or fabric feeding (S27), the amount of the needle thread required therefor can be supplied with the extent of slackness.
