USE OF IL-4 ACCEPTOR FOR TREATMENT, PREVENTION AND DIAGNOSIS OF ALLERGIC, VIRAL, PARASITIC AND BACTERIAL DISEASE AND MOLD INFECTIOUS DISEASE

PURPOSE: To execute diagnostic and therapeutic and/or preventive procedure for disease which gives rise to a production increase of 2TH type T-helper cells by using an IL-4 receptor (IL-4R) or its deriv. CONSTITUTION: The mature human IL-4R having three domain structures; an extracellular domain (207 amino acids), membrane passage region (about 24 amino acids) and intracytoplasmic domain (569 amino acids) and the human IL-4R comprising total 825 pieces of amino acids having 25 amino acids functioning as signal peptide at the N terminal or the its deriv.; for example, the functional uniform part of IL-4R, mutant or variant, more particularly the extracellular part of IL-4R, the amino acids 1 to 209 of the mature protein of the human IL-4R as well as its glycosylated variant are used. This receptor is effective for allergic diseases and viral, bacterial, parasitic or mildew infectious diseases and the combination use thereof with γ-interferon, allergen or its part and a material to shut off the interaction between cell surface protein CD40 and its ligand is recommended.
