MAIN ROPE PASSING METHOD FOR ELEVATOR

PURPOSE:To provide the main rope passing method for elevator capable of performing main rope passing work without necessitating troublesome work and sliding of the main rope into the groove of a sheave. CONSTITUTION:After a car frame 10 and a counterbalance weight 5 are assembled into the bottom of a hoistway 1, one end of a hoisting rope 6 is connected to the counterbalance weight 5, the other end of the hoisting rope 6 is wound up by a winch 9 to hoist the counterbalance weight 5 to the top of the hoistway 1, and the main rope 4 is stretched between the car frame 10 and the counterbalance weight 5 through a sheave 3 of a winch. By this, even a worker who is not familiar relatively with a work can perform the work. Thus wear on the groove of the sheave when the work is performed, can be prevented.
