PLATE BUTT WELDING EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To fit the arrangement of any welding line, to enable tackwelding and automatic one side welding of panels at the same place, to easily correct the dislocation when sheets are tackwelded, to make a penetration bead inspection after welding at the same place as the welded place and to secure safety in the time of execution of associated works. CONSTITUTION:This equipment is composed of a supporting column 20 which is equipped vertically at a suitable interval in a pit 10, supports a tackwelded panel P and secures a space S for setting a lining material and a plate butt welding surface plate 30 capable of moving freely vertically which has a hole 31 at a place coping with the supporting column 20 and has functions as a ground base when plates are tackwelded and as a work footing for backing and reverse face inspection.
