CONSTITUTION:In a denitrification device for raw water containing nitrogen in a nitric acid state, nitrogen in a nitrous acid state is produced positively by means of a biological denitrification means, and a chemical denitrification means including hydrogenation catalyst for reducing nitrogen in a nitrous acid state to nitrogen is provided in a following stage.
