Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent fragments caused by crushing from flying and to gas generated on separating and crushing of mercury components stuck to the fragments at a stroke in a scrapping processing mercury contg. base stock waste material. CONSTITUTION:A crushing mechanism 6 for waste material A and a conveying mechanism 5 to the crushing mechanism 6 are provided on a mercury dissolving liquid absorbent tank divided into a feeding chamber 3 and a crushing chamber 4 and the waste material A is crushed in the mercury dissolving liquid absorbent to dissolve and absorb mercury components of the waste material A in the liquid. The fragments is settled and the generated gas is retained in the upper part of the crushing chamber 4 to be separated and processed separately. The crushing of the waste material prevents them from being bulky and the dissolving and absorbing of mercury components are enabled by the simple treatment of poisonous mercury and the separate treatment of the fragments, thereby dispensing with a lot of conventional treating steps.
