SEWING OF DECORATIVE THREAD ON FABRIC AND FABRIC HAVING DECORATIVE THREAD SEWN THEREON

PURPOSE:To produce a bulky fabric having decorative threads sewn thereon by sewing the thick decorative threads on a fabric or paper with needle and bobbin threads according to a draft pattern, making a part of them worsted-like yarns and covering the remainder decorative threads therewith. CONSTITUTION:This method for sewing decorative threads on a fabric consists of a step for initially drawing a draft pattern, another step for sewing the decorative threads on the fabric with needle and bobbin threads according to the draft pattern and the final step for raising a part of the needle threads fixing the decorative threads using a raising device after sewing them thereon and simultaneously untwisting the decorative threads for making them worsted- like yarns. The decorative threads can be readily sewn on the fabric only by guiding the decorative threads onto the draft pattern drawn on the fabric. In addition, the method enables bulky arrangement of the decorative threads by covering desired parts of the decorative threads sewn on the fabric with the raised yarns.
