Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily strip a braided armor by making a cut thereon to a specific depth. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus for stripping an armor 3 with braid 1 from a cable 2 is provided with a table 5 which is connected to a table drive apparatus 4 and is freely removable in the direction of cable 2 length; an inching table 6 which is mounted on the table 5 and is capable of freely inching in the direction of cable 2 diameter; and an ultrasonic cutter 9 which is mounted on the inching table 6 and is connected to a rotary drive apparatus 7 through a transmission gear 8. The ultrasonic cutter 9 adjusts the depth of cut and makes a spiral cut on the armor 3 of the cable 2 before cutting and stripping it.
