Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To provide a tundish using method preventing the adhesion of remains on a refractory in tundish, improving the dischargeability of remains and improving the quality of molten steel. CONSTITUTION:When a molten steel 9 is charged up to the highest position to a tundish 1, a flux 10 consisting of low melting point/low viscosity mixtures is charged to on the molten steel 9, the molten steel 9 is discharged to a mold from an immersed nozzle 6. The flux 10 is melted by heat of the molten steel 9, floating on the molten steel 9 and is adhered on the refractory on the inner face of the tundish 1 as the molten steel 9 discharges, forming a compound with a refractory. After a discharge of the molten steel 9, a remains 12 in the tundish 1 is discharged from a discharge nozzle 7, the remains reduces its viscosity by the flux 10, improving its dischargeability. At completing a discharge of the remains, the compound of a melted refractory and the flux 10 is adhered on the refractory on the inner face of the tundish 1, preventing the erosion of the refractory due to charging of the molten steel 9 next time. |
