Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To perform an appropriate exposure control and white balance adjustment even under a light source with a flicker, and to minimize the information amounts of a program to be stored. CONSTITUTION:Plural chrominance signals are prepared from an objective light by an image pickup element 5, and fetched through integration circuits 17 and 19 by a microcomputer 21. Variable gain amplifiers 9 and 11 are controlled by the microcomputer so that the white balance can be attained, and the speed of a shutter 3 and the value of a diaphragm 2 are controlled according to a prescribed program by the microcomputer corresponding to the output of an AE sensor 27. At that time, when the ripple of the light source which irradiates an object is detected from the output of the AS sensor 27, one part of the program is changed in the microcomputer, and the speed of the shutter is set to be longer.
