Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst for hydrogenating CO2 in reaction at the atmospheric pressure, a producing method thereof and a method for selectively producing methane. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst for hydrogenation is produced by making rhodium carried on a porous carrier consisting of inorganic oxide and exposing the face (111) of rhodium. CO2 is hydrogenated by reacting H2, with CO2, under existence of the catalyst while the reaction starting temperature is regulated to 200-550 deg.C and the reaction pressure is regulated to the atmospheric pressure.
