Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To provide a catheter wire with two performances of a high torsional rigidity and a low bend rigidity which are incompatible with each other by composing it in a braid structure comprising an even number of metal wires in which half the wires are formed clockwise, and in which the other half are formed counterclockwise. CONSTITUTION:Bobbins (1-1)-(1-4) around which metal wires are wound move along tracks (2-1)-(2-2). The bobbins (1-1), (1-3) move along the track (2-1) which is a clockwise rotation track, and the bobbins (1-2), (1-4) move along the track (2-2) which is a counterclockwise rotation track to form a braid structure. The thickness and number of the metal wires to be used are selected as desired in accordance with a required rigidity for a catheter and under limination of an even number.
