DISPLAY DEVICE FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL MACHINE

PURPOSE:To provide the display device for a traffic signal machine, by which a signal color can be confirmed easily by a driver and a pedestrian, and also, which confirms traffic information and has a propaganda/advertisement function by a traffic motto and an advertisement. CONSTITUTION:A TS(traffic safety) panel 20 is provided in a position in which it is visible simultaneously with a traffic signal machine 10, and traffic information, information of a traffic motto, an advertisement, etc., and/or a background of the information displayed on this TS panel 20 are switched and allowed to emit light so as to become the same color as the traffic signal machine 10. That is, by a synchronous detector, a turn-on/turn-off state of each color of the traffic signal machine 10 is detected without changing an electric circuit of the traffic signal machine 10, and based on a detection output of this synchronous detector, a light emission color of a light emission panel is switched so as to become the same color as a color of a lamp being in a turn-on state. In such a way, a signal color can be confirmed by not only a signal lamp but also both of the signal lamp and a display color of the light emission panel, and also, various information displayed on the light emission panel can also be confirmed simultaneously.
