Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a boiler with ashes by feeding SO2 into a fire furnace of a soda recovery boiler being controlled so that the concentration of the SO2 in an exhaust gas is below a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas from a soda recovery boiler 101 undergoes a measurement of the concentration of SO2 with an SO2 gauge 107 through a sampling line 107a and a signal thereof is sent to an SO2 control valve 106 through a signal line 107b. Then, an SO2 control valve 106 is actuated through a control line 108a to control an amount of the SO2 to be fed into a furnace of the boiler 101 from SO2 supply nozzles 105a and 105b so that the concentration of the SO2 in the exhaust gas is kept at a fixed value (below 50ppm). This enables the lowering of a Cl component and a CO3 component in ashes on a superheater 104 thereby preventing clogging of the soda recovery boiler 101 with ashes.
