A display color control signal 8 set to logic (O) when the present scanning position on a screen is within the area of the active window, and to logic (1) when it is outside the area of the active window is outputted from the position comparison part 3. A display signal 9 and the display color control signal 8 are inputted to a display color control part 4, and such processing for changing display color data included in the display signal 9 to monochromatic data is performed when the display color control signal 8 shows the logic (1), and a processed display signal 10 is outputted to display equipment 5.
