REMOTE CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain a remote control device capable of improving the quickness and the reliability of the notice of the normal and abnormal terminations of queue up operation to the remote control device. CONSTITUTION:When queue up command and a queue up point are sent from a remote control device 2 to a VTR 1, not only the change of a status on the VTR 1 side but also the change of a time code sent from the VTR 1 for reproducing a tape and the condition of the presence or absence of records are monitored. When normal queue up operation does not performed, the tape is properly transported (reproduction, fast forwarding, rewinding), the queue up command and the queue up point are sent again to the VTR 1 and the fact whether the queue up operation is normally or abnormally terminated is displayed on a display means 7 depending on the state of the succeeding queue up operation.
